You don’t need to fly all the way to Rome to see a Colosseum — you can find one just a few hours from Manila at Goshen Resort & Hotel in Tarlac.
For us, it’s practically next door — only about 20 minutes away — so we’ve been here plenty of times just to dine and take photos under those grand arches.
But we’d always wanted to stay overnight and finally enjoy the pool. So, when a promo deal popped up on Facebook, we didn’t even think twice — we booked it right away!
Join us on this relaxing 4K walk tour as we explore the Roman-inspired architecture, scenic views, and unique photo spots that make Goshen a favorite destination for weekend getaways.
Whether you’re planning a visit or just curious what it looks like inside, this video gives you a peaceful walking tour so you can see the place before you book.

FAQs Answered
1. Where is it exactly, and how do you get there?
Goshen is in Brgy. Lourdes, Bamban, Tarlac. If you’re coming from Manila, you can drive via NLEX → SCTEX → take the local roads into Bamban. Public transport is possible too: take a bus bound for Tarlac, then jeep/trike as needed. Just plan for the “last-mile” bit (trike or local ride) because it feels a little tucked away.
2. What’s the vibe and what can you do there?
Vibe: chill, slightly surreal (in a good way), photo-friendly, with a bit of “holiday escape” feel. The architecture gives you the “wow” moment—and the pools + grounds give you the “stay awhile” moment. There are multiple swimming pools (kiddie, adult, etc). If you’re the kind of traveller who loves to slow down—sit by the pool, drink something, wander around the grounds—this is your place.
3. What about rooms, overnight stays & cost?
You can stay overnight (which we did). They have rooms/suites of varying sizes. We got a room that was comfortable, air-conditioned, and near the pool. The stay came with free breakfast for two, plus a mini fridge, complimentary coffee, and a water heater. Everything you need for a simple, comfy stay.
4. Day-tour or full stay?
If you just want to visit for the day to take interesting photos, swim a bit, lounge, you can. But the overnight stay lets you drop into “holiday mode” fully: morning coffee, evening pool dip, no rush to go home.
5. Food & dining?
Yes, the resort has its own restaurant called Café Roma, where you can grab meals and coffee without leaving the property. We also saw a ramen house, but we weren’t sure if it was open during our visit. For day trippers, there are food stalls inside the resort that serve more affordable snacks and drinks .
