Pangasinan is known for its beaches like Bolinao, Hundred Islands, and Tambobong… but what if you’re not looking for a beach trip at all? What if you just want a real stay-cation with amazing pools, good food, and space to wander inside the resort?
Here are my top picks based on my personal visits and experiences.
Best Swimming Pools in Pangasinan
⭐ 1. West Manor Hotel & Resort — Sual
This is one of the newest resorts in Pangasinan, and possibly the largest.
The main attraction is its giant river pool that winds around the property, with varying depths so both casual swimmers and strong swimmers can enjoy it. There’s also a dedicated kids’ pool, which makes it great for families.
And aside from that, West Manor also has a separate four-layer cascading pool that gives a more relaxing, tucked-away vibe, almost like a natural spring setup.
Just from the photos alone, the place already looked huge, so we decided to book an overnight stay to really explore it. The rooms are spacious, conveniently close to the pools, and surprisingly affordable.
One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was the view deck. A guard recommended it and said the walk “wasn’t that far.” It really was nearby, but the incline was steep enough that I was out of breath by the time we reached the top. The view was worth it, though — wide, scenic, and genuinely breathtaking. By the time we got back down, we were starving, and thankfully the in-house restaurant delivered. The food was genuinely good and satisfying after that mini hike.
My tip: go in the morning. They clean the pools early since there are guests daily, so the water is fresh and clear. Even on weekdays, this place gets busy, so if you can avoid weekends, I highly recommend it. You’ll enjoy it so much more.
⭐ 2. Old Rock Resort Hotel — Bolinao
We love Old Rock so much that we went here twice — first for a day tour, and then we came back for an overnight stay. And that second visit was the game-changer.
The pools are massive and really beautiful, but what makes Old Rock stand out is its rock-themed architecture. It gives the entire place a natural, rugged, seaside-fortress vibe that’s super unique.
Their rooms are fantastic — comfy, clean, and designed to complement the stone surroundings. The beach here is also great for kids because the water is shallow and calm most of the time, so no strong waves or sudden deep drops.
If you want a combination of great pools and a kid-friendly beach, this one hits the sweet spot.
Enchanted Cave — Bolinao
This is one of the most unique swimming experiences in Pangasinan. We’ve been here twice, and the main highlight is the cave itself — filled with natural spring water that’s refreshingly cool and crystal clear.
But a lot of people don’t realize that Enchanted Cave also has two outdoor pools outside. So after the cave swim, you can still relax in the open air and enjoy a more standard pool experience.
The entrance fee may seem a bit higher than average, but it truly feels worth it, especially if you make the most of it and enjoy every part of the property.
Dasol Beach Villas — Tambobong, Dasol
We’ve been to Tambobong three times already — and while the beach is beautiful, we always wished there was a place with a proper swimming pool. We even went to Osmeña Point (which is a must-visit if you want pure white sand beaches), but again — no pool. So when we saw that Dasol Beach Villas had a promo, we booked immediately.
The pool here isn’t huge, but it’s deep enough for a proper swim. The lighting at night makes it feel cozy and inviting, which we really appreciated since we love evening swims. We even spotted some fishermen out on the water, with tiny lights glowing from their boats. Later that evening, it started raining hard, and that was the only thing that kept us from going back in for another swim.
The stays also come with free breakfast, and the restaurant is overlooking the beach, perfect whether you’re dining in-house or just dropping by for a meal. It’s such a good spot to sit, eat, and enjoy the view.
Which is your favorite pool in Pangasinan?
West Manor, Old Rock, Enchanted Cave, and Dasol Beach Villas each offer a different kind of stay-cation experience — from huge pools and resort-style settings, to natural cave swimming, to quiet beachfront luxury.
We personally love resorts that are big enough to roam around, with lots of water features and spots to discover — and Pangasinan surprisingly has more of these than people realize.
I’ll update this list as I visit more, but for now, if you’re planning a pool-focused Pangasinan stay-cation instead of a beach-only escape — these places are absolutely worth considering.
