We’ve been to Bolinao many times over the years, but for some reason, we never got around to visiting its famous waterfalls, until now. This year, we finally explored Bolinao Falls — and honestly, we wish we had done it sooner.
It’s surrounded by trees, and the water is cold and clean, perfect for a refreshing dip. If you’ve been glued to your screen lately (guilty 🙋♀️), this is exactly the kind of nature reset your brain needs.
And here’s the fun part: there’s not just one, there are three waterfalls here. Each with its own vibe.

Bolinao Falls 1
This is the easiest one to reach — and the tallest of them all. Not sure if anyone can actually jump from the top (we couldn’t even see a way up there), but there’s a wooden platform right in front of the falls where you can safely dive in and still get your adrenaline fix.
The swimming area is mostly shallow, but if you’re jumping, vests are required. No vest, no jump. Local caretakers are strict about that.
One thing we didn’t love: caretakers tend to blast loud music, so if you’re planning to film peaceful reels or anything that might get flagged for copyright… good luck 😅
Bolinao Falls 2
Bolinao Falls 2 has more shallow spots, perfect for kids to splash around and explore. Just keep in mind that the area right below the falls is deep. It’s also less crowded and has more shade — ideal if you’re looking for a quieter, more relaxed swim.
Bolinao Falls 3
The favorite — and everyone knows it
This is the newest developed of the three and quickly became the most crowded — especially on weekends. Why? Because it’s the best spot for jumping — not too high, deep enough, and very accessible.
There are plenty of bamboo rafts, rental huts, and spots to take photos. Just keep in mind: what it has in fun and accessibility, it lacks in peace and quiet. Expect more people — and yes, more fun.
